Corn Palace Murals and Panels

2011

This annual redecorating process began on Monday, June 8 as 16 decorators started removing the dock and rye and began replacing those items. The corn murals will remain intact until the annual Corn Palace Festival at which time the new mural drawings will be placed on the Corn Palace. The process should be completed around mid-October.

"Celebrating Youth Activities" has been selected as the theme for this year's decorating process by the Corn Palace Festival Committee. For this year the committee also accepted submissions for murals by local children.

The Corn Palace Festival Committee has chosen the following objects to be shown on the panels depicting various youth activities: track, gymnastics, golf, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, soccer, hockey, tennis and volleyball.
